I used a wash mitt that was fingerless before and it didn't work because I have long nails. These work great because my fingers (and jewelry) are covered so I don't need to worry about scratching my baby. I saw your product reviewed on a wesbite and decided to give them a try because I like the mitt concept. The material is exceptional. So so so soft against my baby's skin. I actually brought these in the shower with me the other day and used them on myself. They lather really well. May-be consider some mom designs?

When I bathed my son in ICN at 4lbs 16oz I was surprised to find that I had to do so in a small pink wash basin. Attempting to juggle my wet slippery baby, support his head, not get his tummy wet because of his umbilical cord and actually trying to get him clean was a joke. It took three people, the nurse, my fiancée and me just to hold him up. My son Blake looked startled the entire time and this whole event took 45 minutes!
A few days later my mom gave me a pair of Belly Laf bath mitts (grippies). I used the mitts which gave me a firm hold of my son. I liked that the thumb is separate making it easy to grab things like soap and still be able to pop the top. The mitts are not tight on your hands so you can slip one off at a time (but don't come off by themselves) moving the baby from hand to hand so that I could dry him off...The time it took to to bathe him with grippies took only 15 minutes! Thank you Belly Laf!
